Why you get out of balance.

When we get, for example, an ankle injury – we naturally take the weight off it and we adapt how we stand and move (limping for example). You can then get apparently unrelated aches and stiffness caused by the change in posture. Taking the weight off an injured ankle often causes the shoulder to lift which also leads to tight neck muscles. This all happens quite slowly and subtly. Treatment needs to be holistic in order to resolve the cause of the problem rather than just the symptoms.

The advice at Helmsley Natural Health is to never ignore a problem and to seek treatment sooner rather than later. That way you will maintain mobility. If you stop trying to move you may well find you have less mobility. It can be a vicious circle.
